Distinct Funds For Specific Donor Priorities

The Grace Village Advancement Fund

The Grace Village Advancement Fund supports major new development of Grace Village's facilities that further enhance our seniors' care options, including the current Capital Campaign that has underwritten the construction of the Grace Village Care Pavilion which opened in July of 2017.

The Fund will continue to support the Care Pavilion financial obligations remaining through 2020,  and will support the construction of the planned development phases pictured above.

The Grace Village Better Living Fund

The Grace Village Better Living Fund supports a range of defined projects that will enhance the quality of life and care for our seniors.

Initiatives can range from specialized furnishings or equipment like hospital beds, chairs and exercise equipment to special Memory Care furnishings and decor, leisure activity resources, nursing student training facilities, exterior gardens and care management software. Donations can be directed to any specific project by our donors.

The Dr. Klinck Fund

The Dr. Klinck Fund continues the original vision of Dr. W. J. Klinck 6 decades ago - supporting seniors who require the care that Grace Village can provide - as available funds permit - but whose financial situation might make such care inaccessible.

Professional volunteer financial counsellors working with the Foundation review each applicant's circumstances and CLSC file status, with a mandatory financial review and input from the Director of Care on care level requirements.

Estate / Planned Giving

Estate giving, also called planned giving, is a highly effective way to donate to not-for-profit organizations like Grace Village, providing substantial benefits to both recipient and donor.

There are a number of types of Estate giving to choose from, depending on each donor's individual preferences and circumstances.

Gifts-In-Kind

Gifts-In-Kind can be a very effective non-cash donation; donated material can include collections such as books, artwork, stamps etc. or individual items of value.

Tax receipts are issued within Canada Revenue Agency guidelines for donation of physical goods and certain types of services.
